Guie'dani, a young indigenous girl, leaves with her mother from where she grew up with her grandparents to go work as live-in maids at the house of a well-to-do family in Mexico City. Everything is new for them: customs, technology, etc. And while they have been treated with a sort of aseptic respect from the beginning, Guie'dani feels trapped. The family’s two elitist teen children make sure she knows that she is weird, alone and they belittle her, especially for speaking her native language. The situation changes when she meets Claudia, the daughter of the maid next door with whom she dares to be herself. Guie'dani is completely uprooted, part of her is rebellious, but more than anything, she feels the need to question the place and role she is being forced to live in. Is it possible to fight against what seems to be her destiny? While this emotional, bleak and honest drama takes place in Mexico, it speaks to a reality that is very true to Latin America.
