Antonia's Tale
Azotada por vientos incesantes, esta comunidad recibe a Antonia con un ritual de despojo de las historias que encarna. Reacia a los órdenes establecidos y dotada de una belleza que desafía la pobreza generalizada, es la protagonista de un relato visionario para la Colombia contemporánea.
Born in 1985 in Barranquilla, Colombia. After studying photography in Buenos Aires, he completed a Bachelor in cinema from HEAD-Genève (Haute école d’art et de design). His graduation film THE TALE OF ANTONIA (2016) won the IFFR Tiger Award. He then completed his Master at ECAL/HEAD with THE JARARIJU SISTERS (2018), which was awarded at Berlinale. Alumnus of EFP Future Frame, TIFF Lab and Berlinale Talents, his last short FLORES DEL OTRO PATIO (2022) received critical acclaim and a EFA nomination. He's currently writing his debut feature, TROPICAL MALAISE which already won the Fasttrack Award at San Sebastian IFF Foro and the Sideral Award of the Proyecta de Ventana Sur programme.
